Oh Jens, you are so esoteric and Swedish (which is to say: I love you)
Is Jens Lekman really that Swedish? Even his name sounds more German or Danish than Swedish.
I’ve always thought of him as being quite Swedish—I mean, he’s from there (even though he lives in Australia now, I think), and his music is really heavily influenced by lovely Swedish pop and electronic bands. You can download his guest DJ set on NPR’s All Songs Considered podcast here to hear how Swedish groups like The Tough Alliance had an impact on his sound.
